Underhill Hires Town Planner

Town Administrator Brad Holden is pleased to announce the hiring of an interim Town Planner for Underhill: Larry Lewack, a long-time resident of Burlington.

Larry brings 15 years of experience in land use planning to this role. For the past 4½ years, he served as Town Planner for Charlotte. Before that, he was the Town Planner and Zoning Administrator for Bolton for 2½ years. As a volunteer, he served on the Zoning Board and Planning Commissions for Winooski and Burlington for 8 years.

Larry is a big-picture thinker and detail-focused practitioner. He enjoys collaborating with community residents to translate their hopes and dreams for the town into policy (plans) and rules (zoning bylaws) that reflect how they want to see Underhill evolve, to meet the urgent challenges of today & tomorrow.

His office hours at Town Hall will vary. He’ll generally be in town to staff meetings of the Underhill Planning Commission on the first and third Thursdays of each month, and at least one day a week otherwise.
